John Lamar, Chairman of Rising-Reels. John is a Director, Director of Development, Filmmaker, Line Producer, Producer, Production Coordinator and Production Manager.

John hails from the Pacific Northwest, Seattle to be exact. He is an independent Producer, with a resume geared towards very small projects. He’s produced and executive produced features, short films, music videos, small local commercials, educational, training videos, and entertainment events on some level. Currently right now, He’s in pre productions on a few projects, two web-based series, two reality shows, and one pilot for possible pitching to an interested studio. As he continues his journey, he still offers his services to the right projects, if he’s available. His working with Rising Reels is a new journey and a lifelong passion to network with as many other likeminded individuals and inspire kids to learn film. As of recently, he has directed his interest in spearheading his efforts on this path. His strong suit is producing, pulling all the elements and resources for whatever projects he is attached to. He looks forward to serving the community and helping the BIPOC youth in it reach their capacity and share and teach them how to exchange ideas in this industry.
